Ravilious... Hand dyeing the outer cover.

New book.... Maroc ... Les tresors du royaume.

Lino cut end papers, rich colours and thick, oil based ink.




The lino cut measures 60cm x 60cm.




The individual prints were printed in 4 separate colours with each impression being rotated 90 degrees from the previous.




Finally an off set print was taken from the original...... next sewing.

summer time

A number of studio members have been complaining that it is too hot !

I would just like to remind them that only a few days ago it was wet, damp, cold and awful.

After some time in the think tank Ravilious has returned to the bench.
The spine is mage up of Swiss Roll leather, the boards have been edged in hand dyed calf and in-filled. Now for the perfect finish before the last layer of hand coloured paper is applied.

The Liverpool Doors, opening night.

The big night arrived, the good, the great and the interested assembled in The Museum of Liverpool. Introductions were made by the Museum team, followed by Phil Redmond. Roger McGough then address the eager crowd with wit and whim.


I then took the podium and managed a few words.....

Boat Race Day..... a few brief words...

I am not the swimmer.

Boat Race Day.....

It is the Boat Race... Cambridge v Oxford today.... The Race is in the Thames River, it basically goes around Barnes. I will be watching... In the Red Lion Pub.
